Hello Again,
This week was pretty busy for all of us as we had some “celebrations of life,” visitors (observers), and new works presented. During work cycles, many students were especially motivated to learn new math material presented during group and individual lessons. Several were also interested in puzzles, metal insets, and coloring the continent/flag of Mexico. By Friday afternoon, all of the kids seemed completely exhausted. We could tell that they were all ready for a little break and hope that they sleep well tonight!
So what exactly have they been up to? Photos are always best for that! Enjoy!
Below, some of our older students have been especially interested in counting the large number cards as we help them to begin recognizing symbols for the decimal system quantities. Check out this image to get a closer look at how the children begin to learn their quantities: Decimal System Bead Material & Large Number Cards
Here are some images of Melia and Colin, walking the “earth” around the “sun,” as we talked about each year of their life during their celebrations this week.
And some more kids staying busy during the work cycle…
That’s all for now. Have a good weekend and we hope everyone gets some good rest!
