Reflecting on Progress of the 2022 – 2023 School Year

Dear Parents,

I hope that you have had a fulfilling summer, including some downtime for yourselves. I wanted to share with you a final blog post that captures the highlights of last semester, showcasing the incredible progress your children made throughout the school year. They have come such a long way, developing in their social skills, problem-solving abilities, self-regulation, and academic knowledge, among other valuable skills. I hope that that our weekly lesson updates helped you stay informed and prompted meaningful conversations with your children about their day-to-day experiences. In this blog, I have included a gallery of photos that offer a glimpse into the learning materials, demonstrating how your children remained engaged and focused during the last semester.

Throughout the school year, the Indigo team puts in a tremendous effort to create a “prepared environment,” a term we use in Montessori to describe a classroom that optimizes productivity and learning for the children. We deeply appreciate your patience and support, and we hope that you have recognized the results of the Montessori Method as you witness numerous milestones in your child’s well-being, creative thinking, vocabulary, empathy, independence, and more!

We hope you enjoy looking back on a successful year!

Lastly, we genuinely hope that everyone enjoyed their gifts as we celebrated you, the parents, in this year’s festivities! Our students had so much fun crafting ocean-inspired artwork and vintage gear creations exclusively for you. If you didn’t get a chance to admire each individual masterpiece showcased collectively, take a moment to appreciate the collaborative artwork showcased below, along with some work in progress.

Thank you for taking this time to reflect with us! Your comments are welcome and greatly appreciated. It’s been an absolute joy getting to know your children and serving as their guides. We’re confident that they’ll flourish no matter where their journey takes them. We look forward to hearing from you, and extend our best wishes for a fantastic school year ahead!
