Dear Parents,
Our first week of school was very productive and we want you all to know that your children have been ever so cooperative and patient with their new directresses. While the week was intensive with reviews and new lessons, the atmosphere was overall peaceful and pleasant to be in. This year, we especially have a musical group as every child seems interested in learning new songs. Sometimes, we teachers would have to stop singing just to listen to all of the adorable voices filling the air. Also, everyone seems to be catching on very quickly as to how we respect each other and how we respect the material in the classroom. Overall, each child has been very observant of how we can continue to keep our new environment peaceful, fun, and productive.
Below, we have some photos to give you a visual on how the week went.

Friday circle time with the Pre-Primary Class. This week, Miss Angelique taught music class including vocal warm ups with letter sounds, how to keep a 4 count beat, and sing-a-longs.
We write newsletters to help inform you about the week, but we also hope that you can use them as a tool to get your child to start communicating more with you about school. We realize that it isn’t easy for them to always remember when asked the spot, so hopefully this helps! At the end of this newsletter, there is a link to most of the material and exercises we covered this week. If you are not familiar with Montessori material, that’s perfectly fine! We will be explaining in detail in the future how this material will benefit your child as we offer more extensions to the lessons and observe the children exploring on their own. For now, feel free to ask your child what they remember of some of this material.
All in all, it was a great week spending quality time with new and familiar faces. If you have any additional questions, please contact us. We hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and hope to see you all soon!
Sincerely,
Angelique & Carrie
